Canberra scientists Dr. Abed Chaudhury, a molecular geneticist and Dr. Tanvir Hossain, a plant scientist discussed in depth the recent attempts to revive the Muslin industry in Bangladesh. They touched on factors such as plant biology, gene editing technologies, weaver training and commercial entrepreneurial support that could not only revive the rich heritage of the country but also become a major foreign currency earner beyond the present garment industry.
