This week’s program presented part two of recordings from the inaugural International Women’s Day program held in Canberra on 10 March 2019 to celebrate womanhood in its entirety. The event named - 'Enlightened Women - ALO You Enlighten Me' - aimed to enlighten and highlight the importance of women empowerment acknowledging their contributions and colourful lives. The ALO event was hosted by Bangladesh Australia Association Canberra (BAAC) and organised by a team of Canberra women: Dr. Lubna Alam, Ms. Zaheen Rahman, Dr. Shamaruh Mirza, Ms. Bushra Khanum, Ms. Aliva Evana, Ms. Nasreen Haque and Ms. Siulin Alam. This week's program covered the question and answers to the panel members: Dr. Yvonne Luxford, Ms. Elizabeth Kiikkert MLA, Dr. Naheed Siddiqui, Ms. Diana Abdel Rahman and Dr. Joyce Das. The musical piece used in the program was composed by Satie in Album 'Life is beautiful' by ABC FM. This week’s program was produced and presented by Ayesha Sheikh.
