This week’s program, the first in a series of several, to celebrate the centenary of Canberra as the nation’s capital, features an interview with veteran Canberran Bengali architect and urban planner, Shibu Dutta. The interview revealed, among other facts, a very interesting but hitherto little known connection of Bengal with the choice of Canberra as the federal capital in 1908. The popular country songs played in the program are sung by famous Australian country song writers and singers John Williamson and Peter Allen. This week’s program was produced and presented by Obaidul Haque.
